Yes. Excel Moving & Storage offers professional full packing and partial packing services. Our trained packers use industry-standard materials — double-walled boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, specialty dish packs, wardrobe boxes, and mattress covers — to protect your belongings from start to finish. We can pack your entire home, just specific rooms, or only fragile and high-value items. Unpacking services are also available. If you prefer to pack yourself, we can supply all materials at competitive prices.

To prepare for moving day with Excel Moving & Storage: (1) Declutter before packing — donate, sell, or discard items you no longer need. (2) Label all boxes clearly with room and contents. (3) Pack an essentials bag with items you’ll need immediately after the move (medications, chargers, toiletries, important documents). (4) Disassemble large furniture if possible. Yes. Our specialty moving team is trained to handle high-value and difficult-to-move items including grand pianos, antiques, fine art, wine collections, safes, pool tables, grandfather clocks, and fragile heirlooms. We use custom crating, specialized padding, climate-controlled transport, and white-glove handling techniques to ensure these items arrive safely. Additional declared value protection is recommended for high-value items and can be arranged before your move.

Services include decluttering and downsizing assistance, estate distribution coordination, packing and unpacking, furniture placement, and storage solutions for items not immediately needed. We work at your pace to make the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.

For local moves, we recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance. For long-distance or international moves, 4–8 weeks advance notice is ideal to allow time for proper planning and logistics coordination. During peak moving season (May through August) and around major holidays, demand is highest and availability fills quickly — so earlier booking is strongly advised. That said, Excel Moving & Storage does its best to accommodate last-minute requests when capacity allows, so don’t hesitate to call even on short notice.

Federal law requires all licensed movers to offer two standard liability options: (1) Released Value Protection — the most basic coverage at no extra cost, which covers items at $0.60 per pound per article. (2) Full Value Protection — a more comprehensive option where the mover is liable for the replacement value of any lost or damaged items. Excel Moving & Storage also recommends consulting your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy, as some policies extend coverage during a move. For high-value or specialty items, additional declared value coverage can be arranged prior to your move date.

If any item is damaged during your Excel Moving & Storage move, document the damage with photos immediately upon delivery and note it on the delivery paperwork before signing. Then file a formal claim with our claims department as soon as possible — claims must be submitted within 9 months of the delivery date for interstate moves per federal regulations. Our team will review your claim promptly and work to resolve it fairly. For added protection, we encourage customers to opt for Full Value Protection coverage before their move.
